Community Assistance Directory

A state-by-state index of vetted, public community-assistance resources — organized by the population they serve (homelessness, disability, minors, seniors, general adult assistance).

Every entry below points to a public program run by a federal agency, a state agency, or a vetted national nonprofit (211, HUD, SSA, SAMHSA, ACL, and the state Health and Human Services equivalent). Use them to find real help — this page is not legal advice, and it does not connect to the Lexloom triage or attorney-referral flows.

In an immediate emergency (life, safety, or suicidal crisis in the US), call 911 or 988for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Editorial notes

Static, audited, and intentionally narrow.

Each entry names the operating organization and links to its public-facing program page. We do not invent state-specific resource names; for states we have not yet audited, we point the user to the state Health and Human Services portal via a search query so they land on their state's own clearinghouse.

Spot a broken link or know a hard-evidence public resource we should add? Email lexloom@polsia.app.
